Who we are
The Republican Public Association IMKONIYAT has been working since 1993. We provide medico-psychosocial support to people living with HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, oncology and other serious illnesses, run prevention and education work, and strive to reduce stigma and discrimination.
Multidisciplinary support (MDK)
A physician, a psychologist, an outreach worker and a peer consultant work in one team. Since 2011 we have helped develop this model in Uzbekistan: adherence counselling, accompaniment, support groups and more.

Women’s initiatives
Established in 2019, the women’s direction supports women and girls living with HIV who face stigma, discrimination, violence and social exclusion.
Community and peer support
Supporting the community through self-help groups, peer consultants and a volunteer movement.

Public health education, prevention and information work aimed at reducing stigma.

Achieving sustainable change in youth tolerance toward people living with HIV through quizzes
A project covering 15 districts of Tashkent region: raising young people’s knowledge, awareness and tolerance through interactive quizzes and educational events. May–September 2026.
SOMEC — a model for HIV epidemic control in Samarkand region
Achieving sustainable control of the HIV epidemic in Samarkand region through expanded prevention, testing, early treatment initiation and stigma reduction. 1 August 2025 – 31 December 2027.
